The Beef rib had lots of meat with smokey flavor with minimal sauce or rub. Meat pulled apart easily, but was not mushy. I must explain that my family is from the South, and so we do minimal sauce/ dry-rub or none at all. The meat must speak for itself. The meat did have the smoke ring that Southerners like. For people from regions that like thick and tangy BBQ sauce, there was a container of it on the side; but we didn't use it. All I can say for sauce lovers is that the BBQ sauce was brown from the molasses or brown sugar or whatever sauce people do to make BBQ sauce brown instead of red like the store kind. The rib and the two sides were filling enough for lunch.

Places like this make me wish that like once a month or something I could give a 6 star rating. Ny girlfriend and I went here for lunch and couldn't be happier that we did. The pulled chicken, pulled pork, mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, potato salad and baked beans were all absolutely outstanding. Service was fantastic, and you can tell these people actually care a lot about their product. Price was is very good considering the quality of food you are consuming. So wonderful

Really not sure what everyone is on about here. I had the three meat sampler last night and it was perhaps the worst BBQ I've had... ever. Brisket was chewy, chicken was overdone, and pulled pork was pretty bland. Everything carried an excessively smoky flavor that almost seemed fake, and the BBQ sauce(s?) on the meat was overly sweet. I chose baked beans and corn pudding as my two sides - the beans were sugary and very tomato-y, and the corn pudding was served lukewarm. The corn was the best part of my meal. For 30 for two of us, I won't be back. Liberty BBQ is up the street and world's better, Texas Jacks is also nearby and more costly, but also better. Bummer.

Rocklands Arlington is the best!!!! The food is always consistently delicious. We ordered out for Superbowl Sunday. The wings, brisket, pulled chicken, mac and cheese, greens, brussel sprouts and corn bread were great as usual!!! All for a reasonable price. My family filled up and their taste buds were quite satisfied. We drove from Southern Maryland for pick up and it was well worth it. We'll be back!!!
