I just had the most amazing shopping experience at Art Emporium. The service is unparalleled. I was nicely approached by an employee and shown that I could save money on brushes by getting a set. I was then treated to a wonderful education on painting supplies, as I am a beginner. No sales pressure, just education. This is why I wanted to come to an art supply store instead of shopping on Amazon, and I was not disappointed! Thanks Art Emporium!
I recently moved to the area and was thrilled to discover this art store was only a 5 minute walk from my house. I am new to using charcoal and needed some supplies. The lovely young lady at the register wasn't able to help me with the charcoals, so I asked the older woman in framing (she was the only other staff I could find in the store). I asked her if she knew anything about charcoal. Maybe this question offended her? Annoyed her? I'm not sure - but her response was a sharp "OF COURSE!". The blatant disinterest in helping me that followed was shocking. I had several questions but she just did NOT want to help me. I had to give up trying. I just bought what I thought I might needed, went home and Googled my questions. I might go back to this store, I might not, but if I do, I won't be expecting anyone to help me figure out what I need.
I very much ENJOY doing business with The Art Emporium. I have had several works of art matted and framed here. I typically work with Robin and Andrew - they are talented and very personable. What more can you ask for regarding customer service. A nice relationship has been built over the past two years since moving to the area and I won't go anywhere else. They are competitively priced based on my initial "shopping around" for quotes on jobs.
Great customer service, nice little art store with surprisingly good selection for the small space. I was able to find everything I needed. I asked about a variety of professional-level supplies and every person I interacted with knew exactly what I was talking about. Yes, it is expensive but I have yet to go to an art supply store that isn't, and it's great to find a nice art supply store closer to home. They also provide professional scanning and printing in addition to the art supplies and framing. Mother and son, family owned business.
Very helpful and reasonably priced. Fast service too. I have them scan my paintings (make digital images), print giclees and make frames - they do a fine job. I am so happy with all of these services and they are FAST.
Art Emporium have original art and limited edition prints and etching from local and international artists.
GROSSLY OVERPRICED. DO NOT GO THERE! I am a painter and I have my work framed all the time, have never been charged that much. I need something done within a week and since they do everything in the store, I decided to do it. A very small piece of artwork (6" x 16") costed me about 250.00. I asked for a detailed receipt, there are two charges were not explainable even when I kept asking. They did do it for me within the time frame that I requested, and the job was done OK, but I DO believe they total take advantage of me. I feel so taken and I will never go there again.
