Amazing!! My husband and I visited for the weekend for a much needed relaxing getaway and it definitely lived up to it's name! The bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. The cabin had everything we needed for a weekend away and cooking over the fire. When we arrived, they had left us a hand written note and a complimentary s'mores kit. The fire pit and chairs outside were so nice. We weren't able to see either of our neighbors while sitting by the fire.

Was nice to reset & truly limit access to technology. This will become a fairly regular thing for us.
The absolute perfect getaway from Raleigh for some uninterrupted quiet time with my wife. So close to our real life but felt like a world away. The cabins are very intimate but perfect if your goal is quality time with the person you are with. The staff were extremely friendly and super accommodating, and went above and beyond when I made a mistake with our reservation.
Getaway Asheboro is the perfect way to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. My cabin was located right on the water and was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! I will admit- I’m 100% a city girl and starting fires is not my forte () but a member from the staff came down and helped me out within minutes of giving them a call. I went for my birthday and they also left me some S’mores to celebrate- so sweet!! Overall, the beautiful scenery, serene atmosphere, and adorable cabins make this the perfect disconnect!
I have mixed feelings about this place. I stayed in a cabin pretty soon after the opened at the beginning of the pandemic. There were several things that made me question the cleanliness of the cabin/trailer like bugs in the bed and poorly made sheets. I understand that it's outdoors but if the cabin had just been cleaned-- they could have dusted the bugs off the bed. One of the notes that you'll receive tells you to clean up after yourself. It was pretty concerning to think that the dishes and stuff were 'clean' by honor code and not staff inspected. There also wasn't any hand santizer They tell you that you have to pay for certain things like Smores and Swedish Fish but it is not as clear upfront that you have to pay for wood and fire starters. That's pretty silly when it's advertised as part of the experience. I had a hard time getting the humidity down within the cabin. It was so hot overnight that all of the bottles with liquid had condensation. This meant that the room temperature water was cooler than the air in the room. Is it better than camping in a tent -- yes. Is it perfect? No.
We stayed here with our two kids so we had a cabin with two beds. The mattress in the loft is thin and hard. The cabins are set pretty close together and there are many of them so it doesn't feel remote or private. The price was 200 a night and I don't feel like it was worth it.
"Can we live here" asked my 5 year old after the first night. already recommending to friends and family. The entire set up was wonderful. All of the small details had be considered and planned for. All of the fun of camping without the chore!
Peaceful, relaxing, great service. Only issue is our cabin was infested by lady bugs; we found out once we settled in for the night and got in bed noticing the bugs. I alerted management of the lady bugs at 10:30PM I got a quick response. They said they would come out in the morning asked what time is good for me and they were on time. Unfortunately, the spray and cleaning was short lived... outside of having lady bugs flying around in the cabin it was great. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable.
