I have been in my home that was built by Select Homes since August 2016. For anyone that has never built a house, you need to know that there are always things that come up but, overall, the building process with Select was good. My home is constructed very well and I am very pleased with it. However, I think the most impressive thing about Select Homes is what I like to call the \after care\ that I have received. Not only did they come out at the year mark to make any repairs but they came out any time I needed them before then. They always acted promptly to any of my needs. Even more impressive is that they have been out to my house this week to help me with something. Yes, almost 2 1/2 years later! Throughout the last 2 1/2 years, all I have had to do is email Kim Loflin (love her!) and ask advice about things and she is always prompt to respond and/or send people out here to look at or fix it. Things that most companies would say are not their responsibility. The owner, Bill, has even called me several times with advice as well. I just can't say enough about their customer service. I could go on and on but it's just too much to write here. Just know that this is a wonderful company with wonderful, caring people and you can't go wrong if you have them build your home.

dale loflin is a liar, a schyster, and has no integrity whatsoever. stay away from select homes if at all possible unless you like being sheisted. he wrote a contract that i signed and on which put down 500. he then decided that he wouldn't be able to do that contract, which he wrote, and would not sign it. after i did all the work of getting appraisals, paid the permits for both well and septic, agreed to pay for the land clearing, went to the office to sign just to get hems and haws, he finally, over a month and a half later, was willing to sign the contract.the new contract had added prices on different things such as footings, took out the land clearing, even changed some of the insulation type and values, and was close to 9,000 more, with me still having to pay to have the land cleared. he had excusesfor everything, even saying his daddy would not sign for any less. after lengthy discussion on email, where i wanted my deposit back on the original contract that he wouldn't sign, and contacting his sister business in mocksville by phone, he said he would honor the first contract he had said before that he couldn't do, just so he wouldn't have to give me back my deposit. now, tell me, who would trust a shyster like that to touch foot on their land? do yourself a big favor and stay away from select homes and dale loflin. run fast and far.
Very impressed with the construction process in place
Bought one of their homes in 2008. The windows leak like a saturated paper towel and the flashing where the roof decking meets the dormers is incorrectly installed. My request for remediation has been ignored.
