Dr. Zivony found a possible liver cancer in my liver by carefully examination of my MRI and I'm under his supervision for possible removal of a tumor. Very nice doctor..

I had a nightmare of experience with Dr. Zivony . It's been 2 years ago and I still have problems with what Dr. Zivony did to me. I just had the same cancer removed from the same place on the other side of my nose with a different doctor with no swelling and a very small amount if pain. And wasn't in his office all day and the doctor didn't take a hour and a half lunch break before he was done with me. Was not happy with my experience with Dr. Zivony.

I have been under Dr. Zivony’s care for years for the treatment of acne. The treatments he has prescribed / minor operations he performed on my skin have shown great results. I am consistently impressed by Dr. Zivony’s professionalism, genuine care and personability and highly recommend him as a physician.

Had a basil cell cancer removed via "Mohs surgery from my face and eyelid by Dr. Daniel Zivony at Advanced Dermatology in Asheville. Everything about the experience exceeded my expectations, from the facility to the professional caring staff to Dr. Zivony's explanations and the surgery itself. Given the proximity of one spot to my eye, and even though he felt capable of closing the tissue removal himself, Dr. Zivony arranged for another outstanding surgeon (Dr. Goldstein at Asheville Eye Associates) to complete the procedure. Excellent results, very very minimal discomfort (no swelling!) and considerate followup. Should there have been any problem, I was provided with multiple 24/Hr telephone contacts to a doctor on call. I hope never to have the need for their services again, but if I do I will specify these physicians.

I was under Dr. Zivony's care for a couple of years. (2008-2010). I had various treatments to try to reduce irritations, address what he called, contact dermatitis, and have a treatment to hide a burst blood vessel on my cheek with a blast of his evil-genius laser. (no, really). My impression after 6-10 visits to he and his PAs is that his competence is tepid and his sense of snooty entitlement is eyebrow-raising. As a patient in his care I had the sense that he fancied himself an expert, yet the results of the treatment plans which he proffered were consistently mediocre. His knee-jerk is to throw drugs at nearly all problems often with limited success. His efforts to expand his expertise (new methods, holistic practices, eastern treatments) seemed non-existent; he always seemed to know better and scoffed at the rest. A good friend of mine who worked as a successful drug Rep. for Glaxo Smith Kline for many years, and has and encyclopedic knowledge of western drugs and the body also used Dr. Zivony, and he was equally unimpressed. On a positive note, Dr. Zivony DOES takes health insurance payments, but unless you are particularly desperate, and don't mind waiting for an hour to see a novice who fancies himself an expert... a man who knows only how to throw his cabinet of pharmaceuticals at all ailments, I'd recommend that you look elsewhere for your skin care.
