After being a part of the Grow with Me community for the last four years, I feel so much gratitude for the love that Katy has put into building a space that is warm, creative, thoughtful, caring, and transformative for all the children and parents involved. Each day is an experience of fun songs, authentic craft projects, and plenty of nature-inspired adventures. The Conscious Discipline training, which is part of the training for all parents involved in classroom work, changed the way I parent and the way I engage with other people I come into contact with. The other families are an amazing source of support and inspiration as well, and I am amazed always at the value of having an actual community for my children here away from our extended family oots.\ My children have totally blossomed as a result of the care and love in this community, and I know it wouldn't have happened without this coop.

I have been a part of Grow with Me (starting with my oldest son and now my youngest daughter) for five years now. You couldn't ask for a more supportive, warm, loving place for your child to spend three mornings a week. The teacher, Katy Estrada, invests in building a trusting relationship with each child and adjusts her methods based on their individual needs. Because it is a co-op, before you know it you and your children will have an extended family that can be turned to for support. With conscious discipline at it's core, a tenant of Grow with Me is treating each child with respect and dignity. Outside play (including a monthly day in the forest) and open ended play and exploration is prioritized. I couldn't imagine a better place for a preschool aged child.
We love this preschool! Katy is an amazing teacher and we are grateful to have been able to see our son grow with Grow With Me. PS: Once a month the whole class goes on a forest day, I mean how cool is that?!
The COOP preschool program at GWM is one of the sweetest kindest places for a little one to grow and prepare for school. We loved the co-op aspect of it in which parents are active members of the classroom throughout the month, helping build love, trust, and respect in the students, their families, and in the larger Asheville community. Truly a place crafted with care and thoughtful focus on the experiences of our precious young ones.
Grow With Me has been a gift to our community. The family-like atmosphere made the transition to preschool seamless for our little ones, and they have learned so much about communicating with others assertively and kindly. They come home every day happy, worn out, a little grubby on the knees, and full of stories - the signs of a great day in the classroom and the garden!
