The folks at The Talking Book were a dream to work with. They put me at ease, made the process of recording my book light and fun, and answered all my questions in a timely and informative way. I felt competently supported from start to finish and am very pleased with the way my project turned out. I especially appreciate that they took the quality of the recording and editing seriously, and managed all of the uploads to Audible so I didn't have to think about it. I just showed up and read, they took care of the rest! I highly recommend them for all your recording needs!

The Talking Book experience was amazing, allowing me to bond with my book in a whole new way. Kris and Dave are easy to work with and super encouraging and patient. All the details are taken care of. It was professionalism in a relaxed and fun atmosphere, and what could be better than that. Pure pleasure to discover them in the state of North Carolina. I can't wait to have another book to record at Talking Book.

Working with Kris and Dave was a revelation. They are both so cool and laid back, but also deadly serious about the task of turning a book into an audio book. They attend to everything at once--the writer, the voice, the work itself, the sound quality, the overall spirit of the experience. I love their enthusiasm and their vision. Indie lit. needs just this sort of champion. Check them out. They do great work. And they prompted me to my best.

It's clear everyone at Talking Book loves what they do, and their patience and easy-going attitudes made bearing my soul on microphone so much easier! Dave's setup and editing made me sound like a pro even though I had never read my work on recording before. Navigating audiobook publishing alone can be daunting and frustrating, but these guys are so knowledgeable and happy to assist with everything from Audible requirements to in-house cover design.

If you love independent literature and audiobooks, you'll love Talking Book: a non-profit dedicated to getting fine literature in the hands of more and more people. Especially in this day and age, we need more thankless servants like them, because their values should be our values: knowledge, truth, art, love. Talking Book!
