Association of Licensed Architects Minnesota is rated 3 out of 5 in the category architecture & planning in United States. The Association of Licensed Architects Minnesota | ALAMN is a chapter of the ALA national non profit professional organization. ALA Minnesota is open to all architects and professions related to architecture. We were founded in 1999 at the same time as the national organization. Our territory covers all of Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, Northern Iowa and the Eastern Dakotas. Our members include architects, interns, students, retired architects, and industry professionals. ALA was founded in 1999 by architects who previously served as Board Members of other architects’ associations. Shortly thereafter the Illinois Society of Architects (ISA), the oldest independent state organization in the country, combined efforts with ALA, bringing respected expertise and historic significance to the Association. Representatives from Minnesota have served on the national board since its inception. Our founders formed ALA and ALAMN in order to provide value to architects. Affordable products and services that enable architects stay current with industry best practices, maintain their licenses, and provide quality service to the public. That philosophy remains the driving force behind ALA today. Commitment of service to help our members achieve their goals has been a major factor in the Association’s rapid growth. ALA now has members across the United States and in foreign countries.
