The BEST after school program/summer camp in Queens! My 10 year old has been in 4 different programs, she was not happy in any place other than The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, they offer a mass variety of programs. The summer camp is jam packed full of exciting trips, activities & swimming too! They offer all of this for a fraction of other school programs. Keep up the good work and a big thanks to the staff for being so awesome!

Variety Boys and Girls Club offers the best swimming classes around. We tried other classes in Astoria and none compare to the price, teachers, results at Variety Boys and Girls Cub. Our daughter started lessons when she was 4 and can now swim all by herself. The classes are held throughout the year (with 2 week breaks in between sessions). There is a structured lesson plan for the classes and sessions. All children are evaluated at the end of each session. The staff and teachers are really supportive. I highly recommend this place for lessons.

My son has attended both after school and summer camp at the Club and he LOVES it. The new team has made tons of even MORE positive changes this year. The day to day offers more variety (mini camps each day for the kids to choose from) and of course the indoor pool has been renovated and is gorgeous. The Admin is super organized and communication with parents has never been better. So happy to be part of this amazing organization that is a shining star in our community.

I have been going to this boys and girls club until 3rd grade. It has been almost 3 years now. (If you guessed, I’m in 6th grade now.) I’m going to be honest, the kids are very annoying and rude to me. One girl in 3rd grade was being racist about colored people. I told the staff about it, and for some reason I got in trouble, and not her. The boys brag a lot about stuff too. Everyday, they always have to talk about how powerful their Pokémon is, and how it is better than mines (at the time, Pokémon was a trend in this boys and girls club). They also need to fix the building, and they don’t take good care of it and make better food. I have now moved, and the boys and girls club I go to is bad, but I prefer it more than this boys and girls club. The food is actually made fresh and is good, they take well care of it, but the kids are very annoying, including the staff.
