Nice, peaceful location. Price is decent. Trails very poorly maintained. Signage in disrepair (see my pictures) or missing altogether. Very little information. Map not up-to-date. I was looking at some plants in the parking lot and was accosted by a staff member who thought I was trying to get in without paying. Seriously. Who's going to break into an arboretum? I've been to numerous botanical gardens and arboreta, but this one ranks toward the bottom. However, if they upgrade the trails, the map, the signage and their public relations, they could have something good.

This was such a great find! The garden was beautiful & I loved that they had labels on the plants to easy identify them. We really enjoyed our time out doors there. I would have loved to do the trails, but with my older dog we only did the gardens. We'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our walk through the forest and the gardens. At this time of the year, there is not much to see in the forest/bog area since it was late in November. So we will have to come back in spring. However we enjoyed the war memorial, the historical home, the dream gardens etc. Certainly worth a visit.

Great place to hike. Well maintained with beautiful flowers. Nice memorial.

The main portion of this site is a well developed series of gardens and sculptures. There's something for everyone here: plant nuts, exercise enthusiasts, little kids, and romantic couples. Our morning visit was a perfect chance to give the kiddos some exercise and take some colorful pictures ourselves. The volunteer we met was very helpful and friendly. We did try the short hike and the trail is quite unimproved - wear good footwear because of all the tree roots and muddy areas. But definitely worth doing!
