This was our first circumcision done outside of a hospital, and we were very pleased with how it went. Rabbi Schulgasser came to our home, wore a mask, and asked if we had any questions before he began. The actual procedure only took about 2 minutes, and I appreciated his calm demeanor and explanations as he worked. He was available via text or phone call if we needed anything in the days following and checked in twice with us to ask if our son was doing well.

Rabbi Schulgasser was kind enough to come to our home to do our newborn son’s circumcision, given the hospital would not do it during Covid lockdown (was considered an “elective” surgery). He was calm, patient and funny, which helped reassure these nervous first-time boy parents, and he explained everything well beforehand. He maintained a sterile environment and did a beautiful job. In mid pandemic, Rabbi Schulgasser came to our home, wore a mask, was very patient as we needed to wait on a call from our pediatrician to proceed, performed an excellent service, and checked in on our son’s healing progress as well as his overall health the following days and weeks.
