They have the worst customer service ever. I feel like they think everybody that comes there are drug seekers. I'm in pain I don't want to hear how you think Sickle Cell patients are complainers. And know that because they left the speaker on and I heard them talking about it. Clinic is ok but that Acute care is the worst.

The paramedics took my brother to the sickle cell clinic around 8:30. I got there close to midnight to find him still in pain and on the floor in a waiting room. No vitals were taking, no medicine was given. The one nurse tending to the clinic didn’t even know his name when I asked! I had to look for him myself. When I asked her when will he able to get some help, she rudely responded that she was the only nurse for 6 patients and she still had two people ahead of him to process and walked off. So I waited... A few minutes later, two other nurses showed up and I asked them for help. They too told me that they were too busy and that it would be a 3 hour wait for him to even get some meds. 3 whole hours after already waiting 3 previous ones. I understand them being swamped but no one showed any compassion. He wasn’t even connected to a machine to track his vitals. So I asked about the regular ER which I was told that he would wait even longer to be seen and that his best choice is to wait there but if I insisted, they would take him over. What I don’t understand is, where was the rest of the staff. You guys have been very well spoken of but the last three times we have been there for help my brother has been treated as if he’s an addict or as if he’s non-existent and it’s rather heart breaking. People in that amount of pain need to be handle with care. I am highly disappointed with what transpired last night. And I do plan on continuing to complain. I had to put my brother in a wheel chair myself and take him to another hospital.
