So I took golf lessons here a couple years ago. Didn’t know a lot about golf just that I love to play. I paid about 1k for several lessons and stretched out over a few months. Was very excited and drove from McDonough. The person that was my instructor seemed to be easily annoyed, felt he looked down on me for not being good, and honestly gave me very bad advise. My golf game went from mid 80s to 120 per round. Since then, I have learned a lot more and now understand that the methods that I was learning and what I was being taught was terrible and incorrect. Having such technology is amazing but if the instructor does not know how to teach while using this technology it is pointless. I wish I didn’t waste this money. Topspeedgolf.com is so much better and cheaper. Good luck.

I’ve been going for close to a year now. My coach, Nick, has really improved my game. I look forward to my lessons not only because I’m learning and getting better, but my coach and I have a solid relationship and he explains things in a way that make sense.

I really wanted this to work. The location would have been perfect. The introductory lesson is definitely not what I was looking and called in for. If you’re looking for a true lesson this is not for you, go to a local course and take a lesson with the club pro. I’m Usually a bogey golfer but something was going on with my swing, probably stance/approach related. Relatively easy fix. Wanted to take a lesson to get a professional opinion. I now still need to do that but am out 100. If you are looking to be sold a 2000-3000 package and spend 100 for a initial “hour” long swing analysis/“lesson” this is the place for you.

To be honest I have not attended but am interested and was doing some research. I used to be a GOLFTEC student in California and found it to be useful only on the condition that you found an experienced teacher. Otherwise not much help. The one I did find was fantastic but the income plan they had was too low and he almost immediately went out on his own. The reason for my 3 stars for the one in Buckhead is because it turns out that none of the teachers listed even have a handicap if you look up in ghin. Do they not even play golf? How can you be passionate about golf and not play? My GOLFTEC in California, even the young inexperienced ones who weren’t great teachers had indexes. Some as low as 2 but it doesn’t really matter how good they were. What matters is they love the sport enough to play it. Moreover, what use is an on course lesson with someone who doesn’t play? Anyway, I’m wary of this organization as instructors if they don’t require them to maintain handicaps. Maybe all GOLFTEC needs is salesmen, so playing is not really a priority.

I'd never taken lessons before and wasn't sure how to even go about picking a venue or a coach. I chose Golftec because of their approach and their proximity to work. I'm glad I did. After 3 lessons and a few practice sessions indoors I hit the course for the first time last week. The big hook is gone and my iron play was much improved; the ball is going farther and straighter than ever before. I have a much better understanding of my swing; the side by side video comparisons to PGA players was surprisingly helpful. Nick has done a very good job giving me practical advice on changes that have made a big difference. I just signed up for another block of lessons and I'm looking forward to more progress on the course. There are men and women of all ages and abilities in and out each time I go. If you're on the fence, I recommend you give them a shot.
