If I could give 0 stars then I would! Seriously! On 2/17/22 I visited Grady hospital due to abdominal pain and discomfort and spotting. After informing the staff in labor and delivery of my pain and discomfort I was made to wait over 5 hours in the waiting room to be seen by a physician. I was never seen. I was failed as an expectant mother. The staff was nonchalant. I was not given any medicine for nausea or pain nor did they assess the well-being of my unborn. I am very disappointed with the outcome of this situation. Not only was I forced to suffer, but I also left in the same situation I came in. This is unacceptable. Negligence at it’s finest. Lack of compassion, lack of care, lack of competentece, lack of professionalism, and not to mention lack of cleanliness. Shame on the administration and specifically LABOR AND DELIVERY! No respect for people’s time.shame on the PHYSICIANS for allowing people to be treated this way IN THE HOSPITAL. I’m sure they are aware of what’s going on. People of color have not been receiving quality care; I witnessed it for myself today. They seemed irritated and uninterested in providing quality care! I watched the nurses and doctors talk to elderly black people like they were absolutely NOTHING! Never again

My daughter recently had to visit the Emergency room at Grady Memorial Hospital. She had to go alone without family because of COVID-19 unfortunately. The ER staff worked quickly with her to get her through triage and back to the exam area. It was pretty quickly determined that she would be admitted. The admitting physician Dr Abhisake Kole explained as much as he could at the time in a manner that was understood. His knowledge and understanding was appreciated. After some hours hanging out in Emergency, my daughter was transported to a room. Grady's hospital rooms are definitely roomier and more up to date. We have e experience with Wellstar on Cleveland formerly known as South Fulton Hospital. How do I know about the rooms? Because I face timed with my daughter and had her show me the room. I'm nosey. I would like to give a special thanks to Dr Manasi Tanuu. She was told early on that I wanted to be involved and included on what was going on with my daughter while in the hospital. She took the time out of her super busy schedule, and called me every single day that my daughter was there. We spoke in depth at least 15-20 minutes about what they planned for her care while inpatient and out patient. She was very clear and easy to talk to without feeling intimidated. She answered my questions without using big terms or doctor language. I felt relieved that she was in good hands and genuinely felt she cared. I will forever be grateful. Thank you also to the nursing staff and the Rheumatology doctor that cleared up some information from the other hospital. I have included some pics of the meals offered at Grady as a patient. Not bad at all.

I just checked out. Although they were all pretty busy cause of the pandemic and I fear hospitals in the first place...my situation was resolved and put to rest quickly. The nurses and doctors were great. Although the CT scan was pretty scary. I can't wait to follow up with them. I was born at this hospital and it was my first time being here as an adult. I see why they have the best trauma unit.

My husband a a stroke two sundays ago. They rushed him to Grady I was not allowed in the er due to COVID. Told us to go home and some one would call us. It took my daughter calling every hour to get some information. When some one finally talked to us. They said he did have a stroke. But was to late to do anything. And they were going to keep home and run some test I understand that but still couldn’t go up bc COVID He laiyed in the hallway close to24hrs if not longer. Got him in a room. He had nothing with him. The worst of the 10 days we’re getting.information about his condition and how he was doing NO ONE NO ONE would speak to us and especially the drs. I understand it’s a great trama hospital. But for letting families during this crisis needs more understanding

My mom came here complaining of abdominal pain and was told UTI and sent home. She called 2 days later and was told to take Ibuprofen (a medicine that she isn't allowed to take due to other medications). She has been telling the virtual doctor the pain was getting worse but they kept saying UTI. Today my mom was rushed to the ER at Emory cause I told her not to go to Grady unless she wanted to be sent home again and nothing gets done. My mom Appendix had burst and had an abscess. Had we not told her to forget the incompetent doctor that she saw and get help she would be dead. Just because it is a pandemic does not give you an excuse to issue incompetent services to your patients.
