VERY POOR QUALITY!!, each representative is unknowledgeable of the policies. Each representative I have spoken to only cares about signing you up for a plan but does not care about making sure you are understanding of each plan and whether or not they provide the benefits you have asked for. Each respresntavie was not responsive to unknown questions. They were not proactive in finding the answers. HUMANA HAS VERY POOR VALUE AND LITTLE TO NO EFFECTIVE BENEFITS TO OFFER.

Refusing to cover ESSENTIAL medications prescribed by my spinal surgeon/pain management doctors?? Seriously?? If 3 spinal surgeries (in 2019 alone) and 10 years of trying to find relief for severe nerve pain & peripheral neuropathy doesn't qualify me to take this medication, what does!? Poor coverage. Poor customer service. Cheapskates. DO NOT GO WITH HUMANA IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE.
I got their most expensive and no waiting period dental insurance. Oh but they won't cover anything. It is nothing but a scam. DO NOT GET HUMANA
It is quite unfortunate that as a Medical Provider I have found that Humana Insurance has offered the least professional experience of all the insurance companies that my private practice utilizes (BCBS, Aetna, CareSource). They do not even have a dedicated phone line for their Behavioral/MentalHealth Providers to call if they have questions or concerns about their contract. They force us to conduct business with them via email, which they never respond to. Many times, as unfortunate as it is, Providers like myself refuse to take insurance because of the inept business practices of insurance Providers such as Humana. To anyone contemplating an insurance carrier for Behavioral/Mental Health services should avoid Humana. Perhaps someone will mysteriously call me from Humana to resolve an issue that I've had with them for over 6 months but I doubt it. Based upon the structure of Humana's administrative system and their response to caring for the needs of those who provide healthcare to their constituents I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT CHOOSE HUMANA FOR YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE! Especially if you have mental health or behavioral issues. It's time that we stop discriminating against those suffering with MENTAL ILLNESS. They deserve quality coverage like all other policy holders. #NotFeelingHumanaInsurance #VeryUnprofessional #TheyDontCarePeople
