Extremely RUDE and UNHELPFUL. I called to get a quote for customs clearance and the women I spoke with continuously cut me off mid sentence and laughed over the phone. This is my first time importing so I am not knowledgeable about this process. Instead of being helpful and gaining a new client, the broker told me to look somewhere else. I would NEVER recommend this company... don't even waste your time calling.
We worked with Ellen Chance to import our new pup from Europe to JFK. Ellen handled the process professionally and was available after hours to ensure everything went smoothly. I saw how important it is to hire a customs broker when I showed up at cargo. They were about to tell me the \procedure\ of getting cleared through customs. A fellow dog owner told me about his 3-hour red tape nightmare running to customs across the airport, getting forms done, waiting while customs cleared, all while his puppy sat in cargo after a long flight. Not with us. We showed up, told them we have a customs agent, signed a few forms. Ellen had cleared our dog through customs while she was in-flight and they saw it in the computer as good to go. As soon as the pup showed up to the cargo area, we got her minutes later. Based on what friends who have had the same experience without a broker told us, we saved at least 3 hours or more at the airport for pickup. Thank you Ellen. Your work made the process very smooth and stress free for both us and our new pup.
I found Ellen online when I was looking for a customs broker who could help import dogs. I had tried several local brokers before who either were only semi familiar with the process or weren't flexible with the shipping days/times. Ellen on the other hand went above and beyond, was extremely knowledgable on the process, helpful, and I knew I could rest assured she had it all handled. Even though she's on the other side of the U.S. (I'm in CA) she cleared customs at both airports and I was able to pick up my pup easily- no problems. It was a big relief! I highly recommend her if you want a stress-free import process.
