Doug Ritchie

Dr Illston took her time with me addressing all of my concerns while performing her checkup. She provided me with written information to increase my knowledge of female problems. She has a pleasant patient- doctor manner making it easy to talk to her. She doesn’t talk down to you. The biggest drawback is the extended wait in the waiting room.The appointment was more than an hour after the scheduled time.

I was very impressed with Dr. Dodder's work as a doctor two years ago when she performed my C-section with my son. Though a planned C-section was recommended due to my son's noggin measurements, the practice was understanding of my desire to have a natural birth. Dr. Dodder respected my wishes and encouraged me through a long labor, but was honest and up front with me when it was time to throw in the towel for my own safety and the safety of by baby. My recovery was easier than expected and my scarring very minimal. I was even more impressed with her this week, not only as my doctor, but also as a person, when she informed me that she could not find a heartbeat a my 10 week pregnancy appointment. She was caring, professional and went out of her way to walk me through my options and her own personal recommendations of next steps, even calling me after hours for a phone call. She performed a D&C procedure, offering a day when she was not on the schedule to save me from waiting through a weekend, and my recovery has gone well. I am very impressed with her skills as a surgeon and with her heart as a caring doctor during a difficult time.

Dr. Mekonnen has such a calming personality. I immediately felt safe and secure with my medical needs in her hands. I was so nervous and scared to have my baby, but she made all of that disappear. She coached and advised me throughout my entire pregnancy, and through my birth. I am so blessed and happy to have her as my doctor, and will not be going anywhere else!

I have been seeing Dr. Anderson since 2011, and she is simply wonderful. She listens, asks questions, and makes sure that I am scheduled for all routine screenings for my age. I will happily drive 17 miles for her to continue to be my physician.
