Please do not go to this hospital.... you will get better service ANYWHERE else. While the nurses and doctors that treated me were very friendly, I came into the ER with difficulty breathing and left with a diagnosis of anxiety. Turns out I had mold in my apartment, which was causing the breathing difficulty. Not only will you get billed by the hospital, but you will get billed by a separate company for the \doctor services\ as the doctor bills separately. I was billed by a physician who I had never met, as well as billed seperately by various hospital departments. I got hit with three bills in total, all in different amounts and months apart. When I called to I inquire about the separate bills, I was hung up on by the billing representative after she told me that I had consented to this in the paperwork I was provided. The billing specialist who came to see me from the hospital while I was in the ER never disclosed this to me. There are a lot of great hospitals out there... this is not one of them.

You can get approved for the assistance program and they will still send your bills to collections and ruin your credit. The doctors were not caring nor did anything to resolve my stomach virus but they want you to pay them 3k for nothing. Northside is a horrible place, you’re better off waiting at Grady to get adequate care and they actually honor their assistance program!

I am just wrapping up being seen here at Northside Atlanta. I have never been treated in such a compassionate and caring way at an ER. My nurse, Lena, was so helpful and knowledgeable as well. Everyone here deserves a round of applause for their good attitude and hard work in the face of the national pandemic! Thank you!
