I've always had a guitar around and always knew I wanted to learn how to play. A little over a year ago, I searched the internet for guitar lessons in my area and found Sound Space. Working with Nick, I started practicing a handful of songs that I had been wanting to learn -- nothing major, but it gave me a reason to start practicing. Then, we moved into music theory, which has given me the vocabulary to talk about musical concepts and patterns I've been noticing my whole life. Some weeks, it's hard to find enough time to practice. But lessons aren't linear: I never feel like I'm falling behind, and I'm always looking forward to my lesson time. We might take the opportunity to look at a new song I've just heard or revisit a concept from months ago. Sound Space has helped me connect with music on a new level. I knew that was missing; I didn't know how accessible it could be.

I've been having weekly lessons for a few months now, and I feel great about the strides I've made. Nick's comprehensive approach to guitar really accommodates my learning style and he never discourages me when I want to tackle something more difficult. Hendrix songs used to seem impossible, now they're more like an open book on chord melody!

Very friendly people and easy to work with. Prisca is a great piano teacher and I have learned a great deal about theory and why songs are written as they are. Highly recommend!
Ive been taking lessons with Nick Pantano at Sound Space for about a year and a half now and I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my guitar playing. Mr. Pantano's teaching style is flexible and he is always open to teaching me whatever it is that I want to learn.
