I have known Susan for almost 12 years. During this time, she has helped me with marriage counseling, parental advice and self empowerment. I enjoy sitting with her and talking with her, and I have always felt that she is listening to me and understanding the issues I 'burden' her with. When her adorable Boston Terriers join us, they are a comfort as well - they help me relax and are more like therapy dogs than a well loved pet. Susan has always given me sound advice; and has recommended great articles, books and professionals to me - for furthering my understanding and knowledge of the many situations I have dealt with... divorce, remarriage, split family, co-parenting, children with mental health disabilities, forgiveness and moving on, and more! I highly recommend Susan Adams!

We highly recommend Susan Adams’ practice. After 6 years of marriage we found the need for a therapist and were so lucky to find Susan. She is patient, insightful, and informative. As you would expect she is a great listener, but also provides research-based feedback. Susan has helped save our marriage and teach us ways to deepen our relationship. We have never seen a therapist before and were worried about a clinical and critical environment. Susan is warm and patient. We love how she provides time for us to talk to her and to each other. Our sessions are such a relief and we always leave her home feeling renewed and empowered to take on our challenges. If you are looking for someone to talk to and want a safe and comforting place to work, then Susan is the person.

We found Susan after a long search for someone to help with our relationship. We had tried therapy before. We got a lot of listening but no tools to make things better. We chose Susan for her experience and her problem-solving approach. We got more than we ever imagined!! Susan is passionate about her work. She says she loves what she does and it shows. She worked hard for us - extra phone calls and time. She taught us how to be married with concrete tools. She didn’t just let us talk about how we felt. She helped us know what to do with what we felt that was constructive and not destructive. Her sound advice, her interest in helping us, her caring and her insight saved our marriage! We are forever grateful to her!

A real Atlanta treasure--I recommend without hesitation: Susan is a fantastic guide through the ubiquitous difficulties of life. She has immense experience and knowledge that she draws upon with precision. Through working with her, I have refocused and began mending relationships in my life and have learned more of who I am and who they are. She is no-nonsense, not pretentious, and such a pleasure to work with.

I very much recommend Susan Adams, who I have been seeing on a regular basis for several years now. I first met with Susan when I was engaged and in a highly-troubled relationship. Fortunately, with Susan's help, I was able to successfully get out, and she has continued to not only support me as I navigate life and recover from the PTSD/anxiety stemming from that relationship, but grow in confidence and understanding of myself, my family, and begin dating again. I'm now in a healthy relationship, after learning to trust myself in identifying and stepping away from red flags in said dating scene. She has been incredibly patient and supportive in arguably the most difficult and vulnerable time of my life, and I couldn't be more grateful to have found her when I needed it most - and now, as I continue to grow in my personal and professional life. She's an observant listener, makes you think and reflect, and doesn't pull any punches - which I think everyone needs.
