The last time I came here was in 2012 before moving to Florida. I went back after 8 years and I can say the food it’s still tasty and the place is fun, but I remember the Onion Rings being a better quality, now they are super greasy and brownish/greenish color.. I don’t know :0 weird. I couldn’t eat them. The fries were good :) so maybe next time I’ll skip the Onions. But that’s sad because I’m a big onion ring fan. Let’s see. Maybe I give them another try.

I always love The Varsity. It's an old historical place that been around since the 20s. Got to be a good reason a restaurant like this stays in operation for so long. To keep it short, it's just plain good. Couldn't go inside tonight due to Covid. Drive through only. But they were fast and handled a lot of customers in a short time. Our order was correct, the food was hot, and good as ever. Always have loved this place.
Love the Varsity! We always visit when in the Atlanta area. Found it when my Daughter played travel Softball and played in Georgia the team introduced us to some great chilli cheese ff. And really good Hamburgers too. So its never a question when in Atlanta or Athens areas we always eat at Varsity. Never been need to go once and you might be hooked. They have been in business since 1928. That is impressive
When you're in the mood for a good ole Varsity chili dog and onion rings, nothing else will do! Certainly meets no \healthy\ eating requirements...but always tasty! Social distancing inside was IMPOSSIBLE, so we opted for the drive through. That line was a little long, but the wait truly wasn't too bad!
What'll ya have? For me, it's 3 chili cheese slaw dogs, fries, and an Orange drink. Perfection. If you're in Atlanta, this is a MUST stop. Delicious and historic. 5 stars.
