Do not use. You will do everything yourself. When your loved one is transitioning , they will not assess them daily. The aids never show. In 1 month we have seen 1 aid twice and an Rn for 10 min once a week. Do not use if your loved one may need anything on the weekend as 24/7 is in their advertisement only. They do not have inpatient care- they do not offer supplies - you tell them what you think you may need. They will order them but they can’t priority anything on the weekend. Just be sure if you plan to use this company that you are knowledgeable on End stages and have a supply list and a med list to tell them what to prescribe. You are providing the care- they bill for it.

As an employee of Vitas I've been very pleased with the experience thus far. Everyone has been supportive and I'm impressed with the commitment of the team members to care for our patients.
I was told yesterday to be here today at 10:30 by Brenda. After I drove an hour for what I expected to be an interview. Brenda never came out. They then sent the DON Patrel out which made it very clear she was to busy to talk and didn’t know I was coming. She was very rude. Her demeanor was like I don’t have time. I didn’t call you. I’m not interviewing you. Very rude and unprofessional. As I realized that she meant she didn’t have time and wasted my time. It really caught me off guard. She asked did I have any questions? Uhm no ma’am that’s it. I have worked for Vitas before in Jacksonville. I was very happy being a CC nurse. I have the experience. I can honestly say you can’t judge one of these companies by the other. Atlanta has just lost my respect and interest. If I could give them 0 stars I would have.
Words just cannot express how deeply we appreciate all you have done for mom. You all showed true compassion and kindness for her and her illness. Amy, Carrie, and James were incredible and mom loved them. We want to say “Thank You” once again to all of you. May God’s blessings flow in each of your lives.
Highly recommend Very caring nurses and staff. Glad my dad has vitas to care for him . I Would like to thank everyone at vitas.
