Great, kid friendly service! The manager complimented our children and asked permission to give them cookies. That was very considerate. The ribs and chicken were juicy and tender! Not too taken with the collard greens...a little too sweet for my liking. I enjoyed this restaurant overall, and would return.

Super excited Wood’s is now open! Tons of seating available both indoor and out. The food was all amazing. Loved the brisket and smoked turkey. The cornbread was delicious! Also highly recommend the creamed corn and the pork beans & burnt ends. The potato salad was good but then only food item we weren’t raving about. Next time hoping for some pies and smoked salmon!
A lot of new restaurants in Atlanta are gentrified and generic. Barbecue is a very traditional food with the best joints often being around in their neighborhood for decades. How does a brand new joint and a new building compare to these established brands? I would argue very very favorably. It might have been the beers talking but I had one of the top 3 best barbecue sandwiches of my life at this place before a Georgia State football game. I appreciated the fact that they opened up early just so that fans could grab a bite to eat before the game.
All of the smoked food was excellent from the pulled pork and brisket to the sausage. The sides seemed very fresh and the corn bread was amazing. The only negative is the pricing as everything is a la carte and they add a service charge.
I was able to go to this restaurant and try the food and it has become one of my favorite BBQ restaurants by far. The food is very fresh, very tasty, and portions are great too. I tried their chicken wings, pork, and brisket. They also have their own BBQ sauce and the all purpose sauce (MUST TRY). Their brisket had the perfect taste and was cooked to perfection. Their pulled pork had just the perfect amount of spices and was not too dry. Some BBQ restaurants do a poor job and not allowing the pulled pork to dry and this one does a fantastic job. I also tried their fried rice which was not what I expected at a BBQ restaurant but holy cow, it was absolutely deliciious. My wife had the cream corn and it was also perfect! This place by far is a must try.
