First time Family visit on Exotic Animal day Schedule not specified Got there early ,still ended up parking in the back 40. On the plus side they have shuttles that arrive every 10 min,however we had a stroller so we opted to walk. They have closer parking for 10-20 cash only. Admission line was slow. Suggestion , buy ahead online. Easy entry for stroller, kids and handicap. 3 fee for Schedule. Staff are helpful Lines for food are long. 10 to 20 min between races Race track level is probably best for families with kids. I would reccomend sitting near the grass with kids so they can play and not be disruptive to others. If u don't have kids, box seats or casino! Food and beer are typical prices one would expect to pay at any event. Be prepared for long lines. Order in large quantity so u don't have to wait again. Lots and lots of food choices. Didn't bet , next time, without kids.

I'm not a big gambler, but I always have fun when I go to the track. Golden Gate Fields is a great spot to spend a Sunday afternoon. I didn't do the 1 parking and entry as i like to park and hang out on the club level, but for 8 for parking and 3 entry, I can almost get more out of it than the same 11 for a 90 minute movie with 30 minutes of commercials then 20 minutes of preview to make you think you are getting your monies worth. Oh ya, and Sundays are 1 beer days. Definately did a couple of those.

Great place to watch beautiful horses and the annual spectacular fireworks show for the July 4th fireworks

This seems like a pretty good place to watch horse racing. Though that being said, it's the only place I've ever watch horse racing and I've only been twice. However, I can say that it has a pretty awesome view on a good day and what appears to be ample parking.
