Huge state park! It’s surprising considering how close it feels to the city. Once you’re there you’re greeted by different sections of the park along the green river. It’s beautiful, lots of picnic area available and parking. Once you’ve arrived to the main area of e park things get a little more busy but it’s so worth it. Take the trail along the green river, it’s a nice long one and so refreshing. Before heading out make sure you check out both the bubbling and flaming geyser. Personally I find the bubbling geyser most impressive right off the bat, it’s also stinky! Warning. The flaming geyser was a little lack luster, I brought a lighter to ignite whatever gasses were coming out and did but it only lasted a second if that. I think there may be ways to get it to stick around longer but I’m not sure how I feel about testing that out. If you’re here in the fall, check the river out! But be mindful, the salmon are heading upstream. It’s amazing to watch, many of their life cycles are ending so make sure to give them their space so they can complete their journey. You could get lost all day here, I recommend it!

Very cool park. We only hiked a small portion due to mud and rain. We will be coming back. Definitely go up to the Bubbling Geyser to see something fascinating. When we were there, the Flaming Geyser as the methane gas has been depleted. Easy drive from Tacoma. There were 4 covered shelters along the Green River. The picnic area is accessible by all groups and ages. There is a public restroom across from the picnic areas.

The best time to visit is in November when the crowds are gone and parking is ample. The salmon will be spawning right by the Geyser. This place is a must for nature lovers. For those who love adventure, try riding your bike there. The roads leading to the park are not busy and the elevation is modest. It is about a 2 hour bike ride from Renton

Really nice large park with river access and easy walking trails through the woods. Plenty of picnic areas and a small playground for kids too. Does require a Washington state parks pass (discover pass) which can be purchased from a machine at the park entrance. Day use only. The \geysers\ are a bit less than impressive but they are interesting, so if you keep your expectations low about what you imagine a \flaming geyser\ to be, you will enjoy this park. During the summer it's a favorite spot among locals for innertubing on the river, in the fall it's a great spot for mushroom lovers.

Nice park, free with Discovery Pass otherwise 21. Lots of parking, but fills up quick on hot summer days! Nice place to float the Green River, with parking lots at both ends of the park. There is NO flaming geyser anymore, but a short hike takes you up where you can see salt water bubbling up out of the ground.
