This bus service was once the best to take to and from Boston and New York. However, in my past several experiences: 1. The bus came an hour late, in a cloud of smoke (which smelled like something in the engine was burning), and overbooked passengers after cancelling the previous bus. People who were already seated had to be asked to leave the bus, including a lady who had a flight out of Logan that evening. Thankfully, there was an amazing bus driver who kept the best attitude- otherwise everyone on the bus would have thrown fits. 2. The bus kept 30 passengers waiting in Boston winter weather in the morning for 30 minutes. Another passenger and I tried to call the main office at least 10 times, only for the phone to go to voicemail (at 9:45 on a Tuesday morning). When the bus finally came, we were asked to tell them our names to an employee who was the rudest woman I have yet to encounter on GoBus staff. An elderly woman told her about how a passenger had to leave to catch another bus ride since she was on a tight schedule, to which this employee scoffed and commented “What do you want me to do about it” and “Take it up with the bus driver, I know nothing about it”. Absolutely ridiculous on both occasions. The only reason why this service is not given 1 star is because of their point system for being an elite member and their drop off / pick up locations in Boston that are not South Station. Other than that, not worth its price, trouble, or the complimentary water provided.

Like the Go bus, cheap and clean. The station office has very odd hours. If you come for a later time of the day, the station is closed you will have to stay outside.

The bus is fine except for the fact that many of the buses do not have a curtain on the GIANT WINDOW IN THE BATHROOM and the tinting does nothing when it is dark out. The world can see your profile while you use the bathroom. BEWARE especially if you bring your children in there! One of the drivers went to the bathroom while we were waiting in line and you could see the profile lit up like a Christmas tree from the outside. I emailed the company a week ago and received a call saying they were "looking into it." On the bus right now and there is still no curtain.

The bus ride was comfortable and fare reasonable. Suggest 2 areas to improve: 1) an awning or tent and benches at the bus stop in NYC would be nice; 2) restroom on the bus was poorly kept, toilet tissues and trash overflowing the toilet hence unusable. It would be nice if Go Buses employees checked/cleaned before each trip started.

I rode the Go Bus from Cambridge to NYC and was very impressed. The bus was much less crowded than the Mega Bus usually is. The price is very reasonable and depends on your departing time and date. Bus was clean and the WiFi was reasonable. I REALLY appreciated that the driver asked passengers to keep their conversations at a reasonable level and that all audio devices must be listened to through headphones. Anybody who has ridden the bus before knows how frustrating loud conversation or music can be. The trip was surprisingly fast and we arrived ahead of schedule. My experience was good. Recommended.

Pricing is reasonable but customer service on newton site is horrendous. It seems as if they go out of your way to not accommodate you and then smirk about it. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a smooth ride but only if you’re really on a travel budget and have no other options.

Not all buses have outlets but stellar service cheap prices and efficiently driving. Also actually drops off in Newton! Would recommend

As my family lives northwest of Boston and I currently live and work in NYC, Go Bus has been the default service I use when traveling to and from Boston. The stop in Manhattan is conveniently located near Herald Square / the Fashion District, while MegaBus and Bolt Bus have all had to shift their stops to the West perimeter of Manhattan. The buses depart on time, check in is a breeze, and the seats and storage areas are all satisfactory. For the most part, I've found that they arrive at the destination cities on time as well, although traffic is always hard to predict and control. Prices are reasonable, and their points system encourages repeat purchases.
