With regret I had to drive away today and seek another company that could perform a sewing repair to (the cover for) my cars convertible roof. I have used the skills of Augusta Canvas before on one of my other collectable cars. Today's job request was for a little sewing of an elastic tie down for my roof. I spoke with Robert the day prior to see that they were able to execute the job (I brought my own supply of matetial). Today the Gentleman who assessed the job informed me it would take about 30 minutes to complete.....but that there was a 135 minimum charge, a starting price for all labor. I thought the Gentleman was joking and just having some fun at my expense....he was not. I could not afford nor did I value the repair at (what would amount to about 145 bucks with tax), for 8 inches of sewing. With regret I'll drive over to another local Augusta business to make the repair.

Augusta Canvas is very unprofessional. I paid for a canvas in full, I was told it will take 4-6 weeks to be installed.. I had to call back after almost 3 month questioning about the reasoning for the delay, and why they haven't tried to contact us to keep us inform, since we already paid in full in advance. I was told with an attitude by the owner we will get a check in the mail for the refunded amount and then he hung up. I just feel as a business owner that is just uncalled for, especially to a paying customer and will not recommend his business to anyone.

Poor service!!! The salesman, Robert Omar, made his sale! Installers were rude and incompetent and installed the awning into a metal building without checking the door for clearance leaving extra holes that were not filled or painted over. After being installed the letters began to curl and then was told that the warranty was not going to cover, "natural causes", so basically, there is no warranty on their defective material and poor installation!
