Laura is a fantastic therapist and a genuinely pleasant person to talk to. Don't be afraid of the term hypnotherapy, as it is a tool used to reinforce the positive thinking that Laura helps you develop from the sessions speaking with her. I had a very specific issue that I wanted to address and Laura helped me dig much deeper into myself to figure out what the root causes were and how to make the right changes to create the outcome I was looking for. And it totally worked. The hypnotherapy part is relaxing and really just helps embed positive thoughts into your subconscious. She sends you home with a CD of the audio from your session so you can use it at home, which is really nice because you need the daily affirmations at first to have them really take hold. I highly recommend Laura and her practice, especially if you are trying to tackle specific issues. I think you'll find the experience both unique and extremely effective.
I fought it at first. After the 2nd session (seriously) I was smoke free. The office visits are very enjoyable, Laura is engaging , soothing , a great break from the chaos of life. She is very good at what she does and I'll be forever grateful I found her and together we slew the dragon.
Just had my first session today and I really enjoyed it. I felt a sense of relaxation that I have never felt before. I'm really looking forward to Future sessions and to get through the challenges I'm facing.
Hypnosis has helped me when so many other types of therapy had failed. Laura presented a very relaxing, comforting environment, and after repeated treatments I've made quite a bit of progress, and feel much more relaxed in my everyday life.
