I’ve been coming here for about three weeks now. I don’t know how long the road ahead of me - physically I’m still in quite a bit of pain and probably will be for a while. But I thought my experience might be a little important for people like me, especially women. I got in a bad car accident, and was feeling pretty raw from that still. I don’t like to be touched by people I don’t know, and generally clam up around strangers. I walked into the office in near tears, and tried to make myself as small and quiet as possible to just get through the next hour. But the woman working at the front desk was genuinely sweet - so I felt a bit better. Then when I was called back, Dr. Gardner was calm and polite, and made me feel respected. So I felt even better. Then I went to do PT with Garrett - I’ve never done any sort of PT before. I fumbled thru the stretches at first and trying to maneuver my arms and neck in the correct position, and kept glancing at my reflection in the window and just felt so down on myself. But again - Garrett was kind, didn’t make me feel any less than, and gave me both space and checked in on me when necessary. I’ve been back four (five?) more times since then, and I’ve worked with different people. I wish I had their names so could give them credit personally. They’ve all had the same level of professionalism and kindness, which to be honest I needed at such a vulnerable time. They never made me feel silly, and have been so encouraging thru all the stuff I’ve needed to do. I’m actually looking forward to appointments now, and can make small talk with the physical therapists and Dr. Gardner (which again, is a big deal for me!). If you’re nervous about needing treatment, I get it. Just go and be pleasantly surprised, it’ll be probably one of the best things you’ll do for yourself.

The ENTIRE Austin Preferred Integrative Medicine team is amazing. From day one they have paid careful attention to me and sincerely cared about me getting better. They had a specific plan for me each day that I got there. They quickly become family and I looked forward to seeing them each week. (I'm honestly going to miss them. lol). But I'm happy to be feeling better. The vibe of the place is friends who want to help you. They know how to have fun while keeping it professional. Dr.Gardner is AMAZING at what he does and I always felt even better with each adjustment. If anything ever happens again that causes me to need a chiropractor, he will be my go to go and you should definitely make him your go to guy as well. He also let me talk his head off and ask so many questions without being bothered at all. Richard was also AMAZING. Had such good conversation with him as well as being treated so well. Jordan is just as FANTASTIC!! Treated me with so much intention and got my neck feeling better. Becca is the BESTTTTTTTTTT office coordinator ever. She is so nice and ebullient! If you were having a bad day, her joy is sure to make you feel better. SUCH A GREAT team here,lacking nothing! Do yourself a favor and allow them to serve you and help you feel better. So happy I got to meet them.

The team here at Austin Preferred helped me with my back and knee after a car accident. Professional, courteous, and a pleasure to be around during a time that was not so pleasurable. They even kept up with my therapy during Covid through video chats. You would be hard-pressed to find a better group of people, top to bottom, to get treatment from. Well done APIM, well done.

These guys are great. I have used them for physical therapy a few times and they are always very kind, caring, understanding, and want to see you get better. They will work you out without overworking you. I would use them again (fingers crossed I don't have to).
