I was able to get in and see Dr Fernandez on very short notice. He was testing the nerves in both hands because I had quickly developed a pretty severe case of carpal tunnel in both hands. He was right on schedule, and very personable. He and I enjoyed talking about a variety of subjects while he prepared each test. His results allowed me to quickly get surgical treatment and prevent permanent damage. This was my only interaction, but it was 100% pleasant and he seemed very competent, in fact he was recommended by my personal physician who is one of the top internists in Austin as rated by his peers.

I crashed my bike 4 days before my first Ironman. Dr. Fernandez fit me in immediately. Because of the care he gave me I was able to leave for Houston right after the office visit and compete in 48 hours. He gave me peace of mind knowing that I did not fracture a spinous process in my back and that I would not cause irreparable damage to myself if I could handle the pain. He gave me appropriate medications that helped me heal quickly and safely compete. His advice on deciding whether to compete and how to treat myself over the next few days was HUGE. I highly recommend him and his practice for their professional care.
