17 months and still no birth certificates the calling and pointless we are working on it is getting annoying. Then to blame the slowdown on covid as if we didnt start the process back in june of 19 is beyond me. They are quick to request payments and so forth but slow to get this done. Now baptism is on hold and ss cards just wait so no traveling.

I was able to call and get hold of someone without waiting. But every time I called in I got the same answer, \they are still working on it\. It has been more than 6 months since they cashed our check and we have not received our birth certificate amendment.

I mailed in forms for my sons new birth certificate after adoption and sent 49 in January, well in March they sent me form that I forgot to sign and requesting 47, I sent it right away and now June they requested 28 more!!! I sent forms back with copies of the checks that I have sent to them and asking for a call back of why more money is being requested and why I don’t have my child’s birth certificate after SIX months. Of course no phone call back so I called and they now say I don’t have to send more money that now I have to wait for process to finish so looks like IF I get it it will be in August. Why does it take soooo long for this and am I getting my money back because when I talked to someone in customer service they said all I should’ve paid was 47 not 95!!!

My husband ordered a birth certificate back in August 2019 with expedited service and we still have not received it after 6 months. We have called numerous times but just get the run around. Guess we have to drive to Texas to get birth certificate in person, a two day drive. Need it for passport for travel in June. Can’t believe a government office can’t give you what you paid for in the time frame they promised
