Mona Lee is my favorite acting coach in Austin. I've taken both the explorer and the film class. Without the film class, I never would have been prepared to know what to expect when it came time for booking film roles. Not only does Mona help train you to develop and sharpen your skills as an actor, but she really prepares her students how to be PROFESSIONAL. I can't stress how important this is, and no other acting coach in Austin that I've been to has ever focused on helping their students develop a work ethic in an industry where your career depends on having this skillset. She is very clear about having standards like students memorizing their lines and rehearse with their scene partners, and of course being reliable. Mona is geared toward breaking bad habits, and encouraging self-awareness including getting into the habit of being aware and catching yourself. You will also be delighted with her sense of humor and how fun these classes can be! All in all, Mona Lee is a very supportive, compassionate, insightful teacher. If you remain open, you will come out of that class determined to love and believe in yourself. She offers a perspective that is a key to unlocking your best self.
