I've never had to plate anything in my life. So when I needed to re-plate a century-old loving cup, I really had no idea where to start. I googled 'chrome plating' on google and saw CenTex right on top. They are in central Austin so I decided to go check them out. I showed them the trophy and told them what I wanted. They gave me a reasonable quote so I decided to let them have it. I picked the piece up about 4 weeks later and I was amazed at the job they had done. Absolutely stunning. The owner, David, is very cool and will help you with whatever job you need- big or small or odd. I highly recommend them for your chrome-plating needs.
Had bumpers, front grill and some handles and small pieces chrome plated at Cen-Tex. Completion time was reasonable and the quality was pretty good. Our grill was pitted and as Cen-Tex attempted to prep it, holes were discovered. I had to pick up the piece and get my welder to repair it. If they had a welder staffed to repair these types of issues, that would be helpful. However, I was pleased with the staff, communication and end result. Very fair pricing. Good for daily driving cars, not show car quality. Good experience.
