Old Building & Terrible Management - DO NOT RENT Hello, I stayed at EUP for over a year since I was stuck on my lease. Apartment 123 and 116A. Buildings are very old so you can expect problems with clogging, leaks, and bugs/roaches. I suffered multiple rats encounters. I was living between rat traps because management did not give me any other solution. I got two bikes stolen from the place and no answer from management. Very very disappointed. Do not make the same mistake that I did because you may be tempted during a visit.

This place is now called East University Place because the owners tried to hide all the bad reviews. Trust me-- it doesn't look as good as the pictures. It was built in the '60s and is managed by Campus and Central Properties (yelp them please)-- it is a rat and roach infested building with no maintenance, it is internally falling apart (ceiling leaks, pipe breaks, power outages). Josie Cantu is the property manager-- she is sweet until you sign your lease and then is excessively rude & dismissive. Find Campus & Central Properties (owned by Nick Cochrane) on Yelp if you need any convincing not to live here with this property management company.

This place was an ok place for an airbnb, a little too dodgy for my taste but it was very clean and they had made some recent updates in the apartment. Full kitchen, washer/dryer combo, and water pressure that will blow the skin off your face. For the amount of people that we were with it slept everyone comfortably for the short time we were there at an affordable price, way better than paying for two hotel rooms.

Walk a dog here sometimes and the residents are quiet and clear. I like that they will sell as condos as well.

I want to give this place 4 stars. This is a 6 month non tenant review. Before looking at the place we heard of renovations and location being trendy. You are surrounded by local food hot spots. Walking distance to all. Parking is limited and you'll find it hard to find a spot on the premises after 6pm. Nicely landscaped both inside and out. Complex is a small figure 8 shape with amazing pool on one side, awesome gazebo and grill area on the other side. Noise. If you dont mind the occasional after bar comrodery as patrons walk home you'll be pleasantly surprised how chill this place is. Summer brings fun pool parties. Let's go inside. Renovated, yes. Nice new appliances, marble countertops, small but decent floor plans. Whoever was in charge of painting and fixing things to the wall needs to be drug tested. Heavy paint runs on the walls. Poor patchwork. Cannot find one thing that is NOT crooked. Paint splatter everywhere. Flooring is laminate wood. A bit noisy. Problems get fixed casually but taken seriously. This being said...still moved in. The complex has an awesome vibe. Maybe because it was a nudist colony back in the day. Idk. I do know my girlfriend is happy and feels safe. That's all that matters to me. Worth the look!
