I have taken 3 semesters of French classes at freestyle and I am so pleased with how much I have learned and advanced in French. Their teaching method is not boring, it engages you and most importantly, it motivates you to continue learning. In a regular semester you receive two weekly classes and a \Saturday Cafe\ , which is a more casual conversational class on the weekend. It is worth every penny. Something I particularly love about Freestyle is that they incorporate a lot of the actual culture of the language/countries that speak it. It really is an immersive experience...happy hours, movies (Netflix watch parties), virtual tours, etc.

Very engaging classes with teachers who keep it fun. FLC's curriculum and emphasis on conversation have really helped me refresh my Spanish and learn some new concepts. I found FLC after being disappointed with another virtual language learning program. I love their flip classroom model with prep videos ahead of the scheduled classes. I also appreciate that the teachers put time and effort into preparing their lessons and are completely comfortable in the virtual world.
Since joining this school, my French language skills have improved quite a lot. I learn regular daily conversations in French thru movies, series, you tube, which makes learning interesting and fun!!!
Learning a lot of Spanish and very fun. I look forward to each class and café! I even like doing my homework.
I am in the last weeks of my 1A spanish class and I’ve been so amazed at how much better this experience has been compared to my high school spanish class. High school spanish never resonated with me and I figured I just wasn’t cut out to learn another language. Then came Freestyle Language Center based in Austin TX! I followed FLC on Instagram for their #Spanish Phrase of the Day and I was impressed at the phrases, definitions and pronunciations. I decided to jump back into the basics of spanish and start at their complete beginner level. I immediately loved the class interactions, course materials and various media presentations involved with learning. It all made so much more sense than high school and FLC strives to teach you about all things language (culture, sayings, sight seeing in native speaking countries, etc). AND most importantly, there is no shaming you for making mistakes! It’s such a supportive environment for learning...and I HAVE! I’ve been amazed how much came back from high school and also how much made sense to me now that I had a better teaching methodology and amazing teachers. And finally, this is ALL ONLINE during these crazy Covid times ( with plans to continue online ) and OMG I LOVE learning. I’m already signed up for IB next level.
