This is a lovely high-quality sushi restaurant it's small, and parking is terrible, but those are my only complaints. The restaurant staff always goes above and beyond, being incredibly courteous and accommodating. Their fish is top quality, and there are still attractive, unique items on the menu. For its price range, it delivers one of the best sushi dining experiences in Austin and is my go-to for any nicer casual events.

This restaurant legitimately blew my mind! We were just looking for authentic Japanese food, but we also got an amazing experience. They specialize in yakitori (skewers), but everything else they offer is just as delicious. I had the rice bowl shown, and I never thought pork chasu could taste this good. Of course, the experience would not have been as enjoyable without Kay's amazing service. She knew everything we needed to know about the cooking process, flavors, and ingredients. Highly recommended!
We had the best time at Fukumoto. The staff was wonderful and full of knowledge about the menu with great recommendations. We tried many different items on the menu and loved every single thing we ordered. The bartender let us try a few different types of sake which was delicious as well. We will definitely be back.
