This review is long overdue, however, I highly recommend the Front-End Web Development course. I was very pensive when selecting a part-time coding course, as it wasn't going to be covered by my employer (I was freelancing at the time) and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a waste of time or money. After looking into several different schools in the area, I finally decided to take the plunge with General Assembly and couldn't be happier with my decision. I was a web designer interested in learning the basics of coding to better communicate with developers throughout the design process. I loved the classroom situation because it was fantastic to have an instructor there to address my questions. Keith (my instructor) was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to accommodate every student in the class. He would always stay after class to answer questions and truly cared about your success, which made all the difference for me. I will say that the class is what you make of it. Coding is unique in that it includes a lot of trial-and-error and hands-on work before you begin to get the hang of it. Nobody is breathing down your neck to get the work done...the students are there because they want to be. So if you only attend class without doing any of the at-home assignments or looking at any code outside of course hours, you're not going to get as much out of it as if you were to truly invest yourself. I would recommend putting in as much as you can while you still have a knowledgeable instructor there who's happy to help! Overall, it was definitely worth the time and money for me and helped me get to where I am in my career today.

Waste of money. Instructors not prepared for class, cryptic academic policies, instructor connectivity issues. Subpar product

Mostly negative experience. My instructor was less intelligent than I am and the material was extremely basic. Also, when I asked the instructor to endorse my skills on LinkedIn and then I never heard from him after that. Waste of money and time, trust me.
