My husband and I were excited to try this place after looking at all the amazing reviews. We love chicken fried steak and we were excited about Hoover’s. Unfortunately, we were mildly disappointed. The food was good, but nothing amazing. I did love the fries and Arnold Palmer! Customer service was great, too. The complementary homemade cornbread was also nice.

I haven't been to Hoover's in a long time and this time definitely did not disappoint. Everything was delicious and fresh as always. I would recommend to anyone looking for some good comfort food.

Got the chicken fried chicken, which was very generously proportioned and deliciously crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I thought the gravy and the sides were slightly lacking in flavor, but the flavors themselves were tasty and easily enhanced by salt and pepper. Overall, enjoyable dinner, would definitely come back!

Saw this place on a TV show about restaurants in Austin. Famous for large chicken fried steak. Place was mediocre at best. Nothing extraordinary about the chicken fried steak. Was regular size. Potatoes salad was good as were pinto beans, and fried okra. Orderd blackberry cobble, apple cobbler, they look like slices of pie and are very thin for 5.50 each. Nothing to brag about here!!

Haven't been to this restaurant yet... I'm giving 5-stars so that I don't lose track of it before I get to visit. Just watched the PBS documentary that tells some of the journey. Can't wait to visit!
