I have a TG son, F to M, that has been seeing Katy for several months. Katy is his 3rd therapist. Katy was not an option in the beginning because she was not \on their list\. So all expenses would be out of pocket. Well, I figured anyone would be able to help my child so we went with the closest therapist to where we live. That lasted 2 visits. Then we moved onto Waterloo. The therapist was good, but my child saw no purpose in the visits and after several months, just didn't seem to get anything out of them. So we stopped. Emotions began to get the better of him and the need for therapy became a necessity once again. He would stay in his room at home and seemed to be going through the motions of life but not really living. This all changed when he started seeing Katy. My son was old enough to drive himself to sessions and this was about him, not me. So my presence was never needed. I have never met Katy, but I can tell you that she has given me my child back. He plays with his younger siblings, he goes out with friends, he started running again.....HE IS HAPPY. Katy helped him find himself which was something I was unable to do as his mother. If you need a therapist for yourself, a child or a family member, Katy is amazing! Worth every penny and then some!!
