Excellent programs & a real character builder for kids. My daughter played rec & now JR Academy. Her skills in soccer & social skills in life have both advanced. The competition is fun & most parents are very cool. There is always that 1 dad but overall top to bottom Lonestar is a great club & I have no hesitation recommending them.

Launch Star Clowns. I don’t know how a child can get anything useful out of a club that plays soccer unlike any other club, college, pro team, ect. When the game is close the spikes start flying at opposing teams to create space. Keep your feet on the ground and play real soccer so your wins mean something.

We are on our 2nd season with lone star and my 6 year old son is obsessed with soccer. We were at Justin lane last year and Morrow street this year, both of which are directed by Sam. Sam is very attentive and somehow know just about every kids name when the season starts. My son loves each coach he has had including summer camp. We didn't win many games last season, so it definitely isn't a focus on winning so much as player development. I actually am glad they didn't win much at the beginning Because when they started winning they were so appreciative and saw how teamwork got them there. My son naturally wants to play defense and his coaches have encouraged that. They haven't tried to force him into another spot. I only wish we could receive the schedules for the first 2 weeks of games sooner as it's hard to plan. But, I understand how difficult it is to put together a schedule this big and that it takes time.

Save your time and money. Both my boys loved soccer prior to their Lonestar experience, now one is done with soccer completely while the other is indifferent. One of my sons was mis-positioned most of time and went backwards on his skills throughout his time with Lonestar. The paid coach for his team was worse than any volunteer coach I’ve seen over past 10 years on many other clubs. The development was poor, and communication from coach and league even worse. My other son played on junior academy. His coach should never have been coaching that age. The win at all cost attitude was evident in the championship game when our coach had 2 other players “added” to the roster in case the full team didn’t show up. Instead we had subs while the other team was short a player. Instead of loaning one of these added players to the other team, he forced them to play a man down. Needless to say, our team dominated the whole game and won...at which our coach was the only one excited and screaming “we won”. Our experience was nothing but poor. Do yourself a favor and find another club where you don’t waste time or money.

We had awfully bad experience with this club. At the beginning, it took more than 2 months to do tryouts and get into the team. Later, the coaching wasn't organized and kids weren't receiving any progress in soccer's skills. After bearraly winning few games in one season we decided to stay next one, hoping for the best. The second season even got worse. Within 2 months the progress of the team went down. All potentials of kids weren't developed. The team didn't win any single game and looks like the coach didn't care about it. We decided to quit. My kid was discouraged from loosing and bad coaching. This is not right. We were expecting good professional attitude from the club, especially when you paying such money. We are very disappointed.
