We have a tenant renting our COMMERCIAL property. Terry Norris, the branch manager, came to our HOME address unannounced talking about equipment rented by the CONTRACTOR, our TENANT hired, that was on the commercial property. I had no idea what he was talking about. He was talking about needing to get his equipment back, I told him that has nothing to do with us, the landlord. I told him I don’t even have the key to the property what do you want me to do. That is the responsibility of the contractor and our tenant. Why come to our home? I don’t appreciate someone coming to my home arguing with me for their equipment when we had no prior knowledge of this to begin with. If you can’t get ahold of the contractor then you get the authorities involved. If that doesn’t work...Sorry.. They sent us a letter to our house the same day, which is the ONLY thing they should’ve done. We never had contact with you or given our home address personally to you... that is unprofessional and I would not recommend your rental company if that’s how you do business. The letter would’ve been sufficient enough and I would’ve been more than happy to help get this situation settle.
You’re better off taking your business elsewhere, their equipment is going to leave you stranded and put you back. If you have to use them you need to inspect their equipment before renting, chances are you’ll change your mind.
