I was a tenant for 2.5 years. Throughout my tenancy the apartment complex was OK, but there were a few things that got on my nerves, then near the end it really broke down. It sometimes felt like they abused their power to charge fees, close down facilities, and create a fairly terrible renters experience for their tenants. Here is the list: - They towed my car 15 days before my lease ended. They then told me I 'was no longer a tenant' because I had moved my things from the apartment, despite the fact that I had 15 days remaining on my lease. I was verbally abused and the door slammed in my face in front of the Site Manager - Donna. I felt fairly threatened and it was extremely unprofessional. - In general, communications routed through 'main office' to avoid direct communication with the apartment managers - Charged 600 of late fees when their accounting system failed to process my auto payment - Closed mail room without notifying tenants (notified after 1 month of sending mail to the post office) - Closed pool for renovations for the entirety of 2020 and still closed. Blamed COVID-19 for the extended closure throughout, but gave no updates to opening despite multiple calls to the office - All faucets leaked and rotting/degrading cabinetry, multiple surface-level fixes throughout tenancy Overall, the apartment is a decent price for the area, but barely maintained and inflexible to maintain good tenants. There were bursts of frustration, which made it maddening at times, but as I mentioned a fair price for the apartment's location and condition. The end was terrible.

I lived here for roughly a year with a roommate. I am moving after a year due to the overall experience with management and one final incident that left me unnerved. Almost all calls get routed through the main call center where an agent says they will leave a 'call back' for the office, after this we never or rarely hear back - the mail room was shut down and mail routed to the post office for multiple weeks before they sent an email nearly a month later. The laundry frequently didn't work - obviously broken machines, as well as no spin cycles, dryers not heating up, etc. The final incident was due to a mix up with a lease date, their call center/corporate/local communication structure, and unprofessional leasing office - It was the beginning of the month and we were moving out at the end of the month and had sent an email stating so in advance, but it was routed to the wrong email (corporate) and thus missed by the local office. When finally got the message through they wanted to charge an extra month's rent and were completely inflexible. It ended with one of the office managers yelling at us saying 'he saw us sneak out' and that 'we weren't tenants any longer' when in fact we were leased through the rest of the month - It was likely just a temper tantrum or gut reaction from them, but they truly made me feel uncomfortable and I am glad I am leaving. We attempted to report the leasing office employee, but could only make it as far as leaving a note with the call center.
Those are great old-school apartments, with a decent minimum to live comfortably and experience live music capital side of Austin. The biggest pro is a maintenance - very quick and efficient. Also, you will like comparatively low prices and livable floor plans. However, if you are looking for the newest appliances, multiple variations of fitness machines, modern designs with impractical layouts, you won't be impressed.
This place leaves bad reviews on other complex's pages under different names. And for that, one star for you. Response to Silver Creek's reply: There is no misunderstanding, you know what you are doing and it's entirely wrong. Shame on you.
We have really enjoyed living at Silver Creek for the past two years. Priscilla in the office always goes above and beyond to help you. It's a great spot to live.
