As luck would have it, I've had the privilege of working for the State Preservation Board for about 15 years now. The improvements that we've made, genuine pride we have in our portfolio of properties, and our interest in putting our best foot forward has provided a fantastic experience for millions of visitors who have visited Austin over the years. Landmarks we steward: the State Capitol and Extension, Bullock Museum, Governor's Mansion, Capitol Visitor's Center, and State Cemetery, consistently rank at the very top of \things to do\ in Austin on websites such as Tripadvisor, Lonely Planet, and U.S. News. Our Retail department treats shoppers to everything from Texas-themed neckties to our ever-popular Christmas ornaments. We provide parking for visitors at our Capitol Visitor's Parking Garage and give free tours of the Capitol and State Cemetery. Our goal is to service the citizens of Texas and its visitors - come check us out!
