Brown people stay away. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and made me repeat my name to her more than 10 times, each time acting as if she couldn't understand anything I said. I was born in Boston, went to an ivy, and can speak English perfectly well. I also have a very common Hispanic name, which you would think is pretty easy to understand in Texas. She then informed me that she didn't really believe my dog was vaccinated. I was like what? Of course he is, I have his medical records and immunization records I can send right over to you. However, she insisted that "he had one or two shots but wasn't really vaccinated." Lastly, she was sure to inform me that using their veterinary services would cost money, in fact, it would be 200 just to look at my dog and she asked "can you afford that?" Needless to say I decided against bringing my pup here. I would suggest others of a similar background (or allies) do the same.

This is the second time I’ve been here. They are amazing and take such good care of your babies. Emily was so sweet and answered all my annoying questions very patiently. It’s pricey but it’s an emergency vet so you should know that going in. Fingers crossed I never have to bring an animal there again but I know if I do they have us covered!!

We unfortunately had to put our beloved kitty, Jet, down and the team at AVES couldn’t have been better through such a tough thing. We brought him in and he was immediately seen. The doctor quickly called us to walk us through all of our options and he was so patient and kind while we made a tough decision. We knew Jet was in good hands and we’re so thankful for the thoughtful care they gave him and help they provided us!! Highly recommend this team!

I CAN NOT SPEAK HIGHER OF THIS PLACE!!! Not only did they save our baby who was on the verge of leaving this world, but they made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. They called us multiple times a day with extremely thorough updates, we felt so safe entrusting our pup to their care and expertise. They never gave us false hope, prepared us for how dire the situation was, and took all the steps necessary to bring her back to us. The staff was so incredibly kind to us and to our pup...I knew without any doubt she was getting tons of love and attention on top of the very attentive medical care. They let us come visit anytime of the day/night we wanted and sit with her in the back for however long we wanted to...and always let us know we weren’t a bother at all doing so. I am so incredibly grateful for them for all of their hard work, compassion, and for sending us home with a healthy happy girl. Thank you thank you thank you Aves!! We are so blessed to have found y’all!!!

I can’t thank the staff enough for their compassion and care. When we brought our beloved dog Axel for the Last Act Of Kindness, all three of us were able to stay and be with him and hold him until his last breath. They gave us all the time we needed and even though he wasn’t a patient of theirs, they grieved with us.

Did not have a pleasant experience here. In the middle of the night my cat became distressed and sick with intestinal problems. After two phone calls here I could not get a straight answer on basic questions about what their intake process was and how long it would be before someone could look at my cat (i.e. being put on a waiting list, waiting in the car, being able to admit my pet for monitoring until a doctor could attend, etc). I feel like it should be standard practice that whoever is answering your phones at an EMERGENCY clinic should be able to clearly articulate this information to a pet owner in distress so that they can quickly make a decision on their best course of action. When I was finally given the ok to bring my cat to at least be admitted for monitoring vitals, I got there, parked right out front with a mask on in my car, had to call inside twice to let someone know I was there, and when a tech finally came out she just stood at the door of the building. I realized I had to come to her with my sick cat in her carrier just to (again) explain what was going on while standing in the cold. Again, I don't think it's unreasonable standard practice in covid times to come out to the car window to talk to the pet owner first, while the animal is still in the car, and then hand off the pet. The best part of the experience was that after all of this, they admitted my cat, said her vitals were fine enough, and would not keep her until a doctor was available because they were too busy. This is not what I was told on the phone (during both phone calls) so the trip was a waste of time and stress. If your clinic is too busy to admit a new patient just say so on the phone the first time!

* update to your response: I have emailed and spoken to Christina and the front desk and the relationship management personnel you hired. Nothing has changed. You have a toxic culture and you are not helping animals anymore. It's extremely disappointing to see.* This is the 4th time visiting. We will never be returning here again. Lack of communication and care. One doctor even tried to blame our regular vet for why our dog was not improving. Only one doctor actually reviewed the chart and notes before speaking to us out of 5 that handled our dog. Our pet was discharged because they said she was better, I don't think the doctor ever even looked at her. She died. I have already called to speak to management, already requested assistance to understand and no one has returned my calls. In the past I previously told management concerns and that was over a year ago. It has continued to get worse. Even other clients in the parking lot said the same about their experience. Will go anywhere but here from now on.
