Loosing my wife recently, has been the hardest and most hurtful feeling I ever felt in my life. My thoughts were clouded, bu I had to arrange her funeral service. I had no clue where to start or who to call. After looking a few places, I called Weed Corley Fish. From the first moment they answered my call, I felt this comfort. I went in person to discuss my options and not only was I able to obtain exactly what I needed, but I met such wonderful people. They are professional, caring, understanding, and most of all, they respect your grieve. I knew that they were there for me during this difficult time. I just felt their honesty. That meant so much to me. They assisted me with exactly what I needed. From the bottom of my heart, I have no words to say how grateful I am to Laurens and to the entire staff. Thank you. You all are wonderful. Sincerely, Sergio Castillo.

April of 2019 I was visiting my parents in Austin, Texas when my father passed away. Weed Corley Fish was recommended to handle the cremation and services. Since I am a native of NY, I was not familiar with Austin funeral homes, floral services, or catering. I had never planned a funeral before. I met with Johnny Lack, and he made the entire process extremely simple. He made arrangements for my fathers body to be picked up at the nursing home, and he helped me to plan the cremation and funeral for my father. He even contacted the appropriate military representatives to attend the funeral and present a flag for my mother. He also helped me with vegetarian requests for a catered meal for the attendees for the family. Additionally, he supported an 'outside' request; we had never done a genealogy test for my father. He recommended a DNA kit that could be purchased over the counter at a drug store, and he conducted a swab of my fathers mouth, in order to support a mail in DNA test. He went above and beyond. The funeral was beautiful, and the amenities were much appreciated. For example, we paid for a guest register. I was happy to learn that it included a custom registration book, and prayer cards with my fathers obituary. We had limited funds, and the entire process was handled in such a professional way, I never felt uncomfortable. He graciously presented options for us, and made some gentle recommendations regarding florists etc. I cannot thank him and the team enough.

I had a very good experience with Weed Corley Fish Funeral home. Following my Mother's wishes, we had a very simple cremation. The entire process was as painless as an event such as this can be. Everyone I worked with during this process was exceptional, most notably Michelle, the director that handled most of the process with me. Highly recommended.

Weed Corley Fish has taken care of our family. Recently, my husband and my mother passed, both were given the care one would expect and then provided even more service beyond. I highly recomend contacting this business for your family.

The people at Weed Corley Fish were kind and professional. I felt completely taken care of on the hardest days of my young life, as I said goodbye to my mom. I can’t recommend them highly enough and also feel even a little extra something special in using them because they’ve been a local, independent Austin institution for so long. I guess you could say that using them is a final rite of passage for many lifelong Austinites.
