I loved my experience working with Matt at Avenue Record Company. He was incredibly cautious to be sure that the project was exactly what we wanted at every step of the process. He always cared deeply about the end result and provided us a consistence enjoyable recording experience I would recommend to any seasoned player. I’m happy to be a part of the Avenue family!

I seriously love this place! Great gear, great price and Matt is super friendly and easy to work with. He is an amazing engineer and always seemed to make my songs sound better than even I expected. I was expecting to have some great demos but he turned out radio ready recordings that are equal to or better than the stuff I have recorded in Nashville and in a couple of big studios in KC. I can't really say enough good things. The whole process was smooth and easy going but very productive. I'll be back! This studio has a big sound! I 'm giving them a well deserved 5 stars.
Matt Richards is an incredible producer/engineer in his studio. Before I met him, I found on his website where he had posted the demos from artists he had received, and then the finished product that he had cultivated with the artist as a comparison. The thing that impressed me then was how many different genres he could embody to bring out the full potential of the song. I’ve worked with Matt now for almost 3 years, and he has only continued to raise the bar on the talent he brings to any given song. Avenue Record Company rocks:)
This place is amazing. You will feel at home. Matt is one of the best. You will KNOW that he cares about your music. He dives deep into your sound not just for something to put on a computer but to really make what YOU want come alive. He'll make you better as a writer, as a producer, as a band. He has all the knowledge and cares about each person in every band or group to make your music sound the best and play your best. I started recording there a couple years ago and won't go anywhere else. check him out!
Matt is an amazing producer. This was my first time recording in a real studio with the band I play drums for, The Dear Misses. And he did everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible. He cares about your art and does everything to bring the best out in your playing and your project. I can not recommend Matt at Avenue Record Company for your next musical project!
My band, Parvenu, chose to go with Avenue Record Company after checking out several studios around the Kansas City area, including million dollar studios. What sold it for us was the final product that Matt had produced before. Matt's skill is on par with industry leaders, and the quality he turns out is indistinguishable (or better) from those in surrounding studios. His laid back attitude also helps relax artist and musicians from feeling like he wants to get people in and out. A musician himself, he also help shape what you're doing to get you to your ultimate vision. All of this while maintaining rates that blow the competition out of the water! I cannot stress how positive our experience was with Avenue Record Company and will recommend ANYONE in Kansas City use him to turn out an excellent product.
I can’t say enough great things about the quality of my recordings with Avenue Record Company! My music was carefully mixed and mastered, with the final product being beautifully balanced. Matt really listened to me when I pitched the direction I’d like to go, with him producing my music. He was spot on with delivering my requests and even added some tasteful additions, that made the finished product sound complete and full. I would definitely recommend Avenue Record Compny to anyone that is looking to record with one of the best in the industry.
If you are serious about your music project and want to take it to the next level, I strongly suggest you work with Matt at Avenue Record Company. I feel like he hits all the check marks... quality, vibe (super easy to get along with and actually fun to be around/work with) affordability, knowledge and experience, network... I could go on and on. I think my favorite thing about ARC is that they are always striving to be better....just like we as musicians and creatives are. There is a constant and consistent growth in all things that go in to making an excellent recording and finishing a high quality project. Matt isn't complacent and takes that into each project! Ive seen him work with literally ALL genres and be able to adapt and enhance each project. Avenue Record company WILL get you the results you are wanting!
