This summer our two sons (two years apart) were each able to land a spot on Balcones Thunderbirds teams for their age range. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about our experience in the past four months. With both teams the head coach and assistant coaches are excellent in terms of modeling character, teaching baseball, calling for excellence, and treating the players in an encouraging manner. The parents of both teams have been a welcoming community for us newbies. The culture we've witnessed involves Thunderbirds parents calling out encouragement when players on *other* teams make good plays, not only cheering for our own kids. The umpires are respected and not scolded by the parents, even when, in their humanity, the umpires make calls that Tbirds parents see differently. Our sons have loved their experience, their teammates, and their coaches at Balcones. We are grateful!

Best Little league in town, come on out and play some baseball!

Nice small ballpark with lights, restroom, concessions. Available for rental for teams to practice.

Very disappointed in this league. Had high expectations coming from Canada to play in Texas. Coach Dalton did his very best with some problem kids who were more interested in fooling around then playing ball. Gave it very many tries to stick with it. The final straw was our son being bullied by a boy against his dad. The league is unorganized, the teams were unfair in make-up, leaving all the ''misfits' to be placed on one team. Sent an email to Jay (VP) a few days ago expressing concern. Not a reply, phone call, nothing. I suspect they just want to keep our money now that our son refuses to go. Money that could be used for him in a real little league. Be warned.

I wouldnt even give a star. Umpires are cheaters here! Im all about the kids having fun but you can't be cheating the opposite team. Its happens too many times. Other than that its a nice baseball field
