Good for kids
Beautiful spot. Do not bring a camper trailer in here longer than 15’. The 26’ made it in. Not sure how I’m getting it out. But it needs to be out of here before my wife gets here. Vehicle damage likely. My own stupid fault. Coming in after dark by myself was not a good idea. but I’m here. I’m full of food. And I’m going to check out the alternative way out. There’s only one really really bad spot. Glad the power jacks aren’t bent and still work. Moab is nuts now. There wasn’t a camping spot anywhere near town.

In dry conditions, the road to Balconey Arch should be doable for most vehicles. There are some rocky and rutted patches, so low clearance cars or bad drivers should be careful. The arch itself is located near the end of Lone Butte and has parking right below it. It is so named because it is located on a high ledge of the bluffs. We were there in the afternoon and lighting was difficult for pictures, because if its location on the bluff, I am not sure the morning would be any better.
Great area! Please make sure to not break glass anywhere! There was a ton this last time and people bring kids and dogs.
Spectacular unwind spot
Balcony Arch is a prominent class C natural arch, found in the southwest rim of a sandstone outcrop sometimes referred to as \Prostitute Rock\. This is part of the \Behind-the-Rocks\ area approximately 10 miles south of Moab Utah. On the north end of this same sandstone outcrop, another class C natural arch can be found called Picture Frame Arch. While this area is remote, you will probably encounter a number of other hikers and 4 X 4 vehicles. The area can be busy during the tourist season and especially busy during the Moab Jeep Safari weekend (Easter weekend). There are a number of trails and roads in this area and it can sometimes be tricky to find your way out again, especially after dark.
