We went here to learn to dance for the first dance at our wedding. Our instructor taught us so well that even when the DJ played the wrong song we managed to improvise and no one realized what happened, everything apparently looked good. So yeah, 5 stars just for the results.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with Lilia at Ballroom in Boston. We picked a first dance song that we knew we couldn't just sway to and wanted to surprise our guests with something special. We had never taken dance lessons before and were definitely nervous going into this, assuming that we needed to know a lot more than we did. Lilia made us feel so comfortable. She was incredibly down to earth and the entire studio is very approachable, at no point did we feel out of place or uncomfortable. It was an absolute blast working with her! Both of us were sad to see our dance lessons end before the wedding! She did a great job of giving us direction/options and teaching us the steps, but allowed us to make a lot of the choices on what moves we wanted to do so we could really make it ours. Our dance really impressed our guests and we had such a good time learning it and doing it the day of. Taking lessons with Lilia was definitely highlight of our wedding planning and I would highly recommend using them if you want to learn a dance for your wedding or just want a little advice!

I made dancing my 2018 hobby. For a full year I danced at Ballroom in Boston, and that year I spent more days at the studio than not. I cannot say enough how great of an experience it was. With no prior dance background, and no partner, I was able to learn a variety of dances by going to Ballroom in Boston. The group classes they offer are great no matter your level and it's definitely worth checking out their calendar to see what is being offered throughout the month. In my time at Ballroom in Boston I took private lessons with several different staff members. Each of which had a unique, yet very understandable, approach to teaching regardless of the material or level of difficulty. If you choose to take private lessons, don't be afraid to try different instructors to find someone that matches the way you learn. But they are all truly fantastic. Lilia Weisfeldt is the owner of the studio and easily one of my favorite people I've had the honor of meeting. She has a very obvious vision of how she wants her studio to be and doesn't stray from it. Her studio is intended to feel like a home to anyone that enters, and you can feel it from the moment you arrive. She will always go out of her way to introduce herself to a new face and make them feel welcome. Lilia is an absolute joy to be around, and will always try to help you develop and achieve your dance goals.

Ballroom in Boston is amazing. In one month, my girlfriend and I went from knowing practically 0 dance moves to dancing Rumba, Salsa, Foxtrot, Swing, Waltz, and our favorite, the Hustle. We go regularly and always have a great time dancing with familiar faces and the many newcomers. There are multiple classes every day and the schedule is super beginner-friendly, with many introductory classes sprinkled throughout the week. You don't need to bring a partner and partners rotate during a class, so you'll dance with many people. This helped us get comfortable when we started, because it didn't feel like we were judged as a couple. Rotating partners allowed us to improve faster and overcome dancing anxieties. Also, this place has a great community feel. Everyone here made us feel welcome from day one. The instructors are awesome - you'll always remember the day you met Lilia, Vlad, Bradley, Clare, and Desirae. And make sure you meet Zachary, whose warm hello is a core part of the experience :) The folks here will know your name and celebrate your birthday. We are so happy to have found this gem. Ballroom in Boston made us confident social dancers and really connected us to our neighborhood.

I absolutely love this place. I started as a total beginner and had no idea how to move. The staff was so friendly and patient, that learning came naturally. Lilia was so easy to talk to and guided me on how I can maximize my learning. Every single class was so much fun and engaging, that I highly recommend anyone visiting Boston to try this once. It's absolutely worth getting a membership here.
