My back/spine condition and accompanying leg and gluteal pain was so severe, I could not walk from one room in the house to another without plopping down in the nearest chair After thorough consultation, Dr. Bydon said I needed major back surgery. Dr. Bydon performed what was, to me, a miracle. Immediately after surgery, that presurgery pain was gone. I can freely walk again. As expected, I did of course have pain from the surgery itself, but 6 weeks after surgery, 85% of that surgical pain has subsided.as I continue to heal. I can't say enough about Dr. Bydon's personal, caring nature, surgical expertise, and his ability to convey medical topics in concepts that I understand. 5 Gold Stars but in reality, off the charts.

I had lower back surgery with Dr. Bydon in 2015. I was in constant pain. Thanks to Dr. Bydon, I am able to lead a normal, pain-free life. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bydon and his staff.

Dr. Bydon preformed my surgery at The Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore. Prior to going in for the surgery I had several meetings with the doctor and his team. Each visit I was brought back to his area of the Neurology department and my wait was always nominal. I have a high level of patience for doctors being delayed provided they spend as much time as needed to answer my questions. Dr. Bydon is beyond very capable, and I was happy to have had the opportunity to even have him review my case. His demeanor provides comfort in his understanding of what you are going through and his bedside manner certainly make you comfortable in knowing you are in the best hands possible for a procedure like this one. The day of surgery was a bit of a blur, but I knew he was there and I was in good hands. During my recovery and stay in the hospital the team at JHU was beyond helpful. The staff who oversaw me in my situation was exceptional on all parts of my visit. Discharge was easy (still on the meds) … and the follow up and communication with Dr. Bydon his team have been easy and very timely. I cannot provide a strong enough recommendation for Dr. Bydon and his team as a result of my personal experience. He and his team are fantastic and their attention to each patients needs is remarkable.

It is magical when you combine knowledge with courtesy. I am definitely not qualified to comment on Dr. Bydon's knowledge, but the awards he received say a lot. I can just say that he is one of the most respectful and humble doctors I have ever met. You feel a genuine care and sincere will to help.
